Teach our students about Phishing - It is phishing season in AL
Just as a reminder, make sure students know to never click links in an email if it just doesn't seem right. Don't click links in emails that seem suspicious--just delete them. Phishers use recognizable names or logos to make us curious-- but once we click the link- they've got us!
It is the pre-holiday season so the scammers are active! This is a GREAT topic for you to share with staff next week during Digital Citizenship Week.
Common Sense Media Digital Citizenship Week - October 16-20
"......Digital Citizenship is defined as the norms of appropriate, responsible technology use; it can be broken down into eight strategic areas: etiquette, communication, literacy, commerce, law, access, security and rights and responsibilities." KQ Digital Citizenship is more than just a curriculum to be taught in a classroom; it is an ongoing process to prepare youth to be College, Career and LIFE ready for a technology rich society.
