Summer Update

Diamond Press

On to new horizons

It is with great pride but also a small amount of sadness that Hope High School says goodbye to Mrs. Sumare, our principal for the last 6 years. Mrs. Sumare brought Hope from a failing and threatened with closure school, to one that is now bursting at the seams. She knew the school from when we were the Bulldogs to the now bright shining Diamonds! She has led the school from just over 30 yearly graduates to over 70 graduates in each of the last three years. Most of all, Mrs. Sumare has continued to foster the Hope family in a culture of integrity, hope, family values. We are pleased to announce Mrs. Sumare has taken a position in our parent organization, Blueprint Education, where she will be building and providing great opportunities for all Blueprint Education's students in creating a life of value, independence, and purpose. Mrs. Sumare won't be far; students at Hope can expect to see her smiling face around campus weekly. We invite students, parents, and community members to congratulate her on this fantastic opportunity for growth.

A new but familiar leader!

Hope High School is especially excited for Mrs. Sumare's successor, Mrs. O'Connell, former Assistant Principal. Mrs. O'Connell has done it all here at Hope. Starting as English teacher way back in 2010, to Counselor, to Assistant Principal, and now to Principal, we are so excited for what is to come under her leadership. Mrs. O'Connell is a great example of integrity and courage, having lived a life of resilience, she strives for achievement and models respect. Already hard at work planning for the upcoming school year, she is very excited for her new role and we are all very proud to be a part of her team.
