Charlestown School Updates
For members of our learning community - Dec. 18th, 2015
Congratulations to some of our 3rd and 4th graders
Some of our students won a reading contest from Achieve 3000. They celebrated by having a holiday craft party together today. Congratulations for working so hard to ACHIEVE this goal!
It's the most wonderful time of the year!!!
In case your child comments on our attire...
Today, many of our staff members helped to celebrate National Ugly Holiday Sweater Day. (Yes, there is such a day). We enjoyed wearing our sweaters, some from back in the 80's and 90's, as the children all told us how beautiful we looked. Some staff members even made their own outfits just for the occasion. As you can see, we don't take ourselves too seriously and love having fun with our students!!!
LearnZillion
One great resource that we like to share with parents is a free website called LearnZillion. You can access free video clips that show you the strategies that we use to help students to solve problems aligned with the Common Core State Standards.
Flyers distributed from school
All flyers that are sent home from outside organizations need prior approval from the Superintendent. Please call our office if you need assistance with seeking flyer approval.
