Wildlife of the La Mauricie National Park
The wildlife in the National Park includes 49 species of mammals, 180 species of birds, 29 species of fish, and 19 species of reptiles and amphibians. Some of them are moose, black bear, the red fox, fish, wolves, and lynx, but the parks favorite is the wood turtle. The wood turtle is an endangered species and is confined in two areas of the park.

Forests of La Mauricie
There are many lakes and forests. The two main types of forests in the park are flora and fauna. The flora varies from swamps to alpine. The fauna is called the "Old growth forest" because it is built of pine woods from centuries ago.
