We Lost a Dear Member of the Blue Moon Family: Roscoe Baboso 2003-2016
On the 29th of June, the year of our Lord 2016, in sadness, we all said, "woof" (or goodbye), to Roscoe Baboso, beloved shop mascot and good ol’-buddy- ol’-pal to those at Blue Moon Mobile RV. He lived a full life of 13-years destroying varmint, eating chicken and milk bones, giving fins, and maintaining his alpha A-game. Rescued as a skinny, wormy 6-week-old pup from a remote wheat patch in Royce City, TX, Roscoe grew in fame and notoriety as the Blue Moon guard dog and was featured in many articles, videos, and online postings. His impressive kill list includes: 7 raccoons, 10 skunks, countless rabbits, two or three pigeons (out of mid-air, mind you), and one unfortunate UPS person. His crowing achievements are being a founding member and president of the Big Palooka's Club, saying "woof", and being able to smell a breakfast burrito a mile away. He was the first to greet us in the morning and the last to bid us farewell as he followed our vehicles out of the parking lot. Now he will chase critters through the field of forever. If you share in our grief, please have a beer or two, and pat a dog on the noggin in his memory. To Roscoe, our sweet, beloved, four-legged companion: "Woof", again we say "woof".
Feeling HOT, HOT, HOT!
A/C servicing is essential for keeping your motorhome cool and efficient during these hot summer months! Smoking, pet hair, and dust really do a number on our air filters. When A/C components have not been properly cleaned and maintained, the units ability to cool is greatly diminished and the compressor may be forced to work extra hard which could cause it to overheat. Follow these tips to have the coolest RV on the block:
- Make sure to clean your air filters once a month.
- Have your A/C fully serviced once a year. The coils will be washed, the evaporator drain is cleaned along with filters and ducts, and performance tests are run.
- If your A/C is experiencing issues, have the unit looked at or repaired as soon as possible to avoid further damage.
