Bison Binder Updates
Thank you for all of your support as we have kicked of Binders here at BCMS! One change we think will help the binders last longer. Please have the students start opening using the rings. This seems to be a better option for these binders that pressing the tabs. For students with a binder punch in your binder (optional), please consider keeping it in the back of the binder where it is flatter. This puts less strain on the holes.
Binder ambulances will be out and about during Prime Time academic days (Mondays and Thursdays). With binders established, we will now set the ambulances in designated spots, rather than classroom visits. Ambulances will be found in the mall area and at the intersection of Buffalo Avenue and Montrose Avenue (In between Ms. Ireland and Mr. Cagle's room). Mr. Hayden and Mr. Erickson will be at the ambulances and will make sure that kids are prompt in returning to class.
Reading and Math EDGE Teachers Wanted!
Our math and reading EDGE programs are designed to help students with academic, self-advocacy and study skills and will be starting up October 24th. We are looking for instructors for 2016-17 to continue the productive work associated with this program.
Once we have instructors in place, we will provide reading and math teachers with "invites" to distribute to students and their families. We are hoping that we will be able to start inviting by the week of October 10th. Thank you for your consideration and please contact Jeff if you have any questions.
