Principal's Newsletter

From the Desk of Russ Booth

October 9, 2022

Good evening MHS families,

I hope everyone is enjoying their long weekend. There is information below about a few things coming up this week and into next weekend. Some of the information centers on our ActiveMinds chapter. ActiveMinds is a group that works to spread awareness surrounding mental health. They work closely with the KyleCares foundation and have done some great things in the past few years. We will continue to support our ActiveMinds chapter and the KyleCares foundation in future endeavors in order to ensure all of our students are supported and valued in our school community, so please check out the links below to learn more and to celebrate our own Abby Jean who was featured in the latest KyleCares newsletter.

Financial Aid Night

Our annual Financial Aid Night will take place on Wednesday, October 12th at 6:30 in the MHS Auditorium. Our presenter, Susan Beard Director of Student Financial Services at Wheaton College, will provide an overview of the financial aid process, updates for the Class of 2023 and how to read and understand financial aid packages. This is always an informative night, and while geared towards students and parents of the Class of 2023 all grades are welcome to attend to learn more about the process. We hope to see you there!
