ALLEM JAPANESE CHORUS WINTER-SPRING INFO - STARTS JANUARY 12
FROM OUR YEARBOOK COMMITTEE
5th GRADE YEARBOOK COVER CONTEST
INSTRUCTIONS
- This year’s theme title is: “Be a Rainbow in Someone Else’s Cloud.” -Maya Angelou
Because the theme is a quote you have to include the author’s name “Maya Angelou”
A Dolphin (our school mascot) is optional. So be creative! - The cover art must include the following words, “El Marino Language
School Yearbook” and “2022-2023” as part of the design. And, the title, “Be a Rainbow in Someone Else’s Cloud.” Maya Angelou - Please do not put your name on the cover. Instead, write your name, teacher’s name, and room # on the back of the artwork.
- Size: 8.5”x11” and must be in color! (paint, markers, colored pencils, crayons, etc)
- We highly recommend using a thicker cover stock. Also using a thin black marker to outline the illustration and coloring in with colored pencils or thin markers seems to have the best clarity.
- The artwork must be in portrait format, not landscape (i.e. vertically oriented)
- Due Date: Friday, February 3, 2023. Please turn it into the front office of the school by the end of the day. Any work that comes in after the due date will not be accepted. ** Winners will be announced via Dolphin Splash in February.
** There will be 1 winner and 4 runner-ups. (The runner-ups will be on the back cover). The front cover winner will receive a free yearbook!
