Weekly Update
Students Must Have Their Assigned Chromebooks
Warrior Parents,
Thank you for sending your scholars to school every day. Last Friday, our scholars with Perfect Attendance the first three weeks of school received a Free Dress Pass. Please note, every three weeks, we will celebrate those scholars who had perfect attendance for that specific three weeks. Yes, that means we start over every three weeks for all of our scholars to have a chance to participate. We will celebrate in many different ways; Free Dress is just one of them. Please remind your scholars not to lose, take off and throw away their wristbands when Free Dress is the incentive. They are waterproof. Thank you to all who attended Open House and scheduled a parent conference for Friday. We appreciate your time and your investment into our scholars and staff.
Chromebooks needed: Please remind your scholars to bring their laptops every day. All of Spring ISD schools are completing their Chromebook audits. It is important that your child reports to school every day with the Chromebook that was distributed to him/her. During our audit, it was identified that many of our scholars have their siblings Chromebook. Please ensure they bring their own Chromebooks to school. If your scholar still needs to check out a Chromebook, please click on the link:
Restroom Concerns: Also, I want to request that you speak to your children about the Restroom Tik Tok challenge. Last week our boys ripped the paper towel and soap dispensers from the walls in the bathroom and flooded some of out toilets causing our students not to have the necessary supplies in the RR as well as causing them to be closed for repairs. Please remind your scholars that students who are identified as taking part in this type of vandalism and destruction of school property will be assigned to alternative school. Please reiterate, school is for learning.
Yearbooks: Our yearbooks are on sale. This is a great way to celebrate all students especially our 8th Graders. If you would like to purchase an ad to celebrate your scholar, please contact Mrs. Murtagh, pvarnado@springisd.org. You may celebrate your scholar and publicize your business as well. Ads are very economical ($25-100) and help to provide extracurricular activities for our students.
Progress Reports: Please check HAC this week as the sixth weeks progress reports will be available via Schoology beginning Wednesday. Remember, we will not be sending home progress reports as they are viewable online. Here is a link to Home Access Center Resources (Video and Presentation) to get started: https://wke.lt/w/s/mvn2ty. If you need a password reset, here is a video to help: https://youtu.be/7M_rb4eFKBs
Please note you may call the school at any time to address your concerns. We may be contacted at 281-891-7650 or as follows:
