August 24, 2021
I hope this note finds you all well and enjoying the last days of summer. We are excited to begin the 2021-22 school year and look forward to seeing you at our Open House on Wednesday, August 25 from 5:30-7:00. This is a time for students to drop off materials, see their classrooms and meet their teachers. If this time doesn't work for your family, please know you are welcome to drop off materials (in a bag marked with your child's name) in our office and we'll get it to your child's classroom. It's also fine for you to send materials with your child on their first few days of school.
I am looking forward to working with you and your child this year. See you soon!
Bridget
OPEN HOUSE EVENT PLANNED THIS WEEK
We are holding our in-person open house event this WEDNESDAY, AUGUST 25th from 5:30-7pm. Teachers** will be available to meet and greet students and families.
Please note for Open House that masks are recommended and not required by all visitors in the building. In an effort to reduce the possibility of virus spread before schools begin, we ask that during Open House time, you please visit your child’s classroom, drop off necessary supplies and minimize the amount of time spent in the building. Any groups that will be sharing resources or offerings (PTO, Scouts, etc) are being asked to set up tables outside to reduce congregations in the building. **4K staff will not be in attendance at Open House and will schedule "Getting To Know You Day" time with families during the first few days of school.
TEACHER ASSIGNMENTS
Please let the office know if you need assistance logging into PowerSchool!
REMINDER: STAGGERED START DAYS
4K IMPORTANT INFORMATION
In 4K, we begin the school year with Getting to Know You Days, in which each 4K child, along with one parent, will be invited for a 15-20 minute time slot to come to visit their classroom, drop off supplies, meet their teacher, and of course, answer any questions you or your child may have! 4K students will NOT need to attend the Open House Meet the Teacher Night on August 25th. This year, our Getting to Know You Days are Wednesday, September 1st, Thursday, September 2nd, and Friday, September 3rd from 8 am-4 pm. You should have received communication from your child’s teacher on how to sign your child up for a Getting to Know You Conference.
At this time, all visitors into the school building are required to wear a mask whether you are vaccinated or not, so please plan to bring masks for you and your family. If there are any other changes to the district protocols that would impact the Getting to Know You Days, your teacher will be in touch with additional details and next steps.
As a reminder, the first day for all 4K students is Tuesday, September 7th

NEW SPEAK UP SPEAK OUT FORM
The District has joined “Speak Up Speak Out Wisconsin” for threat or incident reporting. This takes the place of our previous “StopIt” reporting form. Click on this link to view the new form. You will notice as you start typing the name of your school, the choices for schools narrows so you can select your school. By selecting your school, this report goes to the principal or local law enforcement when needed. The video linked below gives a good overview of how “Speak Up Speak Out Wisconsin” works and is good to review with your family.
Going forward, we will have a graphic for Speak Up Speak Out Wisconsin at the bottom of each newsletter that you can click on for quick access to report incidents if needed. You can also add the Speak Up Speak Out App on your phone for quick reporting by utilizing these links: iOS | Android
