Ms. Connies' Kinder Newsletter
August Week 1 Newsletter
A little about Ms. Connie
I am very excited to be working with you and your child during this school year. First, I would like to take this time to introduce myself. My name is Constanza Pardo. However, my students call me Miss Connie since it is shorter. This is my first year teaching Kindergarten here in Cougar School. I earned my Bachelor Degree of Science Teaching and Learning in 2013 from the University of Houston “Go Coogs!”.My major is in Elementary Education and I have a minor in Psychology. I was born and raised in Caracas, Venezuela and had the opportunity of moving to Houston, Texas in 2008. My hobbies include bike riding, reading and spending time with my two very spoiled dogs.
Kindergarten is one of the most important milestones in your child’s life because it is the beginning of their educational journey. I will be working very hard to establish a safe, comfortable, and happy learning environment for your child. One of my goals for this school year is to incorporate fun activities into the curriculum that will enrich the students learning and interests. Each student is unique, which is why I am looking forward to learn with your child and help them create a love for learning. Since this is your child’s first step in their academic journey, I encourage you to work with them by reinforcing at home what they are learning in the classroom.
In this newsletter, I will like to include some of the activities we will doing during the first week of August, along with important information about a field trip to the aquarium.
