Kindness Club Update
There were many 6th graders who volunteered to help, too, and they acted as great role models for the kids. Lots of kinks to work out if we try this again in the fall, but it’s encouraging to see so many families wanting to get their kids involved!
Appreciation Station
If you haven't passed it in the hallway yet, our Kindness Club set up an "Appreciation Station" in the front hallway under the Kindness Chain bulletin board. Anyone in the school can write a note to a fellow student or staff member and Grace Saner and the Kindness Club will deliver the note for you. Feel free to pass on this information to students if they have questions.
The end of the school year can be so hard for everyone, and the heart behind this club has just made my day. I hope it encourages you as well. :)
Thanks!
Jen Saner and Kristina Brooks

"e"Learning Days
Dear SLS families,
St. Louis has been approved to use eLearning Days for the 2018-2019 school year. In order to prepare for inclement weather eLearning Days, there will be two scheduled eLearning days on October 18, 2018 and November 13, 2018. On these days, students will remain at home. More information regarding these days will be delivered as the school year approaches.
St. Louis School recognizes the need to provide alternative means by which students may achieve classroom goals during lost instructional days due to inclement weather.
Therefore, eLearning activities may be utilized as an educational alternative for learning experiences or activities. These activities are designed to extend, enhance, supplement or serve as a substitute for onsite classroom instruction.
Please click on the link to help us better prepare for eLearning Days coming in the fall of 2018.

Vocal Camp Opportunity
My name is Shannon Kramer Mullins, owner ofMiss Shannon’s Music Studio in Batesville, Indiana. Miss Shannon’s Music Studio is partnering with Batesville’s Rural Alliance for the Arts to bring a Summer Vocal Camp to the area. This camp is a unique opportunity that you won’t find anywhere else in Southeastern Indiana. I hope you will take time to read the information and offer it to your students. I am very excited to offer this to the local communities and hope that you will have your students take advantage of this wonderful Summer Vocal Camp!
The camp is June 18-22. Each day the students will participate in workshops and master classes starting at 10:00 am until 12:30 pm. There will be an emphasis on Musical Theater this year. The camp will be split into two groups, 8-13 working on musical theater technique, staging, auditions, breathing, diction and more! The second group, 14-24, will work on many of the same things while getting deeper into vocal pedagogy. Each student will also receive two private lessons with Jonathan and Samantha during the week. There is a performance by the couple at Batesville Music and Arts Festival on Thursday June 21. There is a student recital on Friday June 22. This recital is optional but recommended. It will be informal in the afternoon.
To sign up, have your students go to www.missshannonstudio.com and click on summer vocal camp to register or email missshannonstudio@gmail.com, call 812-212-6498. All prospective students will need a song prepared for the camp. The camp tuition is $100 for RAA members and $125 for non-members. The camp is offered for ages 8-13 and 14-24 in two separate groups, this years focus will be Musical Theater.
