Saxton Newsletter 24.9.21
We would be grateful if you ensured that your child adhered to our uniform policy, including PE kit. This is:
- Grey trousers or skirts (girls may wear pinafores instead of skirts)
- Navy sweatshirts
- White, navy or gold shirts/blouses (Polo shirts are acceptable alternatives to conventional shirts)
- White or grey socks
- Black or brown shoes (trainers are not acceptable).
- Children must wear the correct PE kit – a plain white t-shirt (no logos or pictures other than the school logo) and navy shorts. Suitable footwear is required for outdoor games (the children have bare feet or plimsols for indoor PE). Warm outer wear in the school colours (hoodie, sweatshirt etc) should be worn for outdoor PE.
If you would like pre-school children to be included we do have some limited availability to have these taken before school, please contact the office by Wednesday 29th September to register your interest and arrange a time at firstname.lastname@example.org. Please note this is on a first come first served basis.
Enter the School Code 145846 and click “Find School”.

This term we are delighted to be participating in the Christmas fundraiser with IQ Cards. The
funds that we raise through your purchases will be used to benefit the school.
Your child should have brought home the template to create their Christmas cards at home. All the details are in the email sent earlier in the week.
Your Payment must be made to school with the order as per the instructions on the sheet via
All order forms (with payment made) must be returned to school by Friday 8th October.
Please see the Autumn Lunch menu below, next week we will be on Week 1 of the menu.
Children can decide daily whether they are having a school dinner or packed lunch.
Please ensure you discuss the menu each day with your child so they can decide what they would like to order. Once they know their choices, they will choose this each morning with their teacher during registration.
Each day there are now 4 choices, either the hot dinner, hot vegetarian option, jacket potato with a choice of toppings or a sandwich. The sandwich and jacket potato always come with a selection of vegetables/salad on the side and have the full pudding choice for that day.
Poetry Day - Special Lunch
Our cook is making a special dinner on Thursday 7th October. Don't forget to complete the google form by the end of Friday 24th September to indicate if your child would or would not like the National Poetry dinner. Children in Yrs 3 to 6 will just pay for the school dinners the normal way via ParentPay. Thank you.
