Creating and Maintaining Goals
Happy New Year!
This time of the year, so many conversations revolve around goal setting. A Harvard study found that 83% of all Americans have no goals. We don’t want our families at CCES to be part of this statistic. We are encouraging all our families to create academic and learning goals for the second semester of the year. We hope you will also use the acronym GOALS to remind you of a few important strategies for supporting your child in school. GOALS stands for:
G - Go online (Skyward) and check your child’s grades. Do this each Friday.
O - Onward & upward is key! Always communicate that you believe in your child.
A - Arrange time daily to talk to your child about what, how, and why they are learning.
L - Learn with your child. Show interest in the topics they share & explore together.
S - Set your child up for success by staying connected with the campus & teachers.
People who write down their goals are 50% more likely to maintain their goal than those who just keep the goal in their mind. So write down these tips for a great second semester, and make these GOALS a reality!
Love,
Ms. Nail
