AES Engineers Scholarship
AES Engineering is pleased to be able to continue offering scholarships to motivated students to help in the furthering of their education.
Scholarship Criteria
Our belief is that achieving a high grade point average should not be the only criteria for determining who deserves to be helped. For that reason we are offering a scholarship that will be awarded on the basis of character, as determined by an evaluation of the essays that are submitted.
Scholarships are intended for our future leaders across a wide spectrum of fields of study. This award is available to high school seniors and all students attending a post secondary educational facility. You are not required to be taking Engineering courses to be eligible.
How to Apply
Students must submit an essay of between 500 and 1000 words in answer to the following question:
When you look back on your life in 30 years, what would it take for you to consider your life successful? What relationships or accomplishments will be important on this journey?
Amount of award: $500.00
Deadline for entry: October 6, 2017

There is no application packet for this award. Please do not include your resume at this time. Be sure to include your full name as well as the name of the school you are attending this year and your plans for next year. You are not required to be taking Engineering courses to be eligible.

ARMY ROTC SCHOLARSHIPS
YOUR COMMITMENT
- An eight-year service commitment with the Army.
- Serve full time in the Army for four years and four years with the Individual Ready Reserve (IRR).
- Selected Cadets may choose to serve part time in the Army Reserve or Army National Guard while pursuing a civilian career
BigSun Scholarship - $500
All student athletes are eligible to apply for the BigSun Scholarship, regardless of sport. Requires a short essay to a prepared question. $500 available to announced winners. Application deadline is June 19, 2017.
Digital Privacy Scholarship
Are you a high school freshman, sophomore, junior, or senior or a current or entering college or graduate school student of any level? Digital Privacy Scholarship is sponsored by Digital Responsibility Organization as it’s important to understand that almost anything you post on the Internet is neither temporary nor private. The purpose of this scholarship is to help you understand why you should be cautious about what you post on the Internet. Students will get a chance to win $1000 through the scholarship program. Parry & Pfau Left-Handed Scholarship - $1500
Peck Law Firm Scholarship
The Peck Law Firm of Charleston, SC is proud to announce the 2017 Peck Law Firm Scholarship. This $2,000 scholarship is dedicated to helping the scholarship winner pay for a college, graduate school, or law school degree. Deadline is May 31, 2017.
This scholarship is open to any American citizen, who will have graduated from high school before July 1, 2017. Students must have a 3.0 GPA or higher to apply for this scholarship.
This scholarship will be judged and awarded primarily on academic achievement and a written response of not more than 1,000 words to the essay question. Although not required, applicants are encouraged to submit recommendation letters and resumes. Apply Here.
Tywanza Sanders Legacy Foundation Scholarship
Purpose
The Tywanza Sanders™ Legacy Scholarship was established in 2017 to honor the legacy and commitment to education of Tywanza Sanders™. Tywanza was a victim of the Emanuel Church shooting in Charleston, South Carolina.The mission of the scholarship is to provide financial assistance to individuals enrolling in undergraduate study at a four-year college or university in the United States in the Fall of 2017.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must have permanent residency in South Carolina, and must be a United States citizen.
Applicants must be a graduating high school senior from a South Carolina high school.
Applicants must have a minimum GPA of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale.
Applicants must be accepted into an accredited 4-year college or university in for the Fall 2017 academic semester.
Applicants must demonstrate a financial need.
Applicants must submit a completed scholarship application along with the required supporting documentations.
Applicants must complete a 500-800 word written essay or a 3-5 minutes video essay.

Choice 2 - How has Tywanza's story impacted your outlook on racism. What is your recommendation on improving race relations among your peers, and to dissolve racial barriers.
