The 411 On Why You Can't Have Chickens in Fronterra

These days, the trendy thing for some suburbanites seems to be to keep chickens at home. Your argument may be they produce fresh eggs for your family and they help with some bug control, not to mention they also produce great fertilizer for your yard. While all of this may be true, the fact of the matter is, no animals, including pigs, hogs, swine, poultry, fowl, wild animals, horses, cattle, sheep, goats, or any other type of animal not considered to be a domestic household pet can be kept, maintained, or cared for in Fronterra at Westpointe.

So what are the consequences for keeping chickens? Well, once discovered, you will receive a courtesy letter requesting your feathered friends be removed from your property. If you do not comply, those courtesy letters will turn into fines, which can add up quickly. So while the notion of keeping chickens in your backyard may sound like a good idea, they aren't a good idea if you plan to live in Fronterra at Westpointe.
