School Nurse Health Note

Teach your child CLEAN HABITS to stay Healthy

Clean habits are the best defense against germs that cause Covid, colds, and flu. Many other illnesses pass easily from person to person by being near someone who is sick, coughing, sneezing or touching something a sick person has touched.

TAKE CARE of Yourself !!!!

  • Wash hands often
  • Try not to touch eyes, mouth or nose
  • Cover a sneeze or cough and wash hands afterward
  • Stay away from those who are sick
  • Stay home if sick
  • Remind others of these clean habits too—it’s the best defense!!!!

Just another reminder that children who have reached the age of ten (10) are eligible to receive the Tdap immunization (*this shot will be required for your child to enter the 7th grade

Why wait? You can get a jump start and get the shot when your child turns 10 or 11. The Lee County Health Department offers immunizations free of charge to children under the age of 18 or you can make an appointment with your child’s pediatrician. Then please bring that documentation/record of that Tdap to your school nurse. Call 332-9601 for more information!!

And for children who have started the HPV/Guardisil vaccine series, continue with completion of that series of 3 shots!!!!!

Ice Cream Time!!
