Celebrating the first 100 days of school

Kindergarten students at Centennial Elementary celebrated an academic milestone, their first 100 days of learning in school!

Bon Voyage! Ireland here we come!

The Centennial High School Wind Orchestra heads to Ireland March 2-10. Attend the community bon voyage concert on Tuesday, February 28, 7PM at Centennial's Performing Arts Center. The concert is FREE.

Saturday, March 4 – 8 PM @ Galway Cathedral w/ the Coole Music Youth Orchestra

Monday, March 6 – 7:30 PM @ Cork City Hall w/ the Barrack Street Band

Wednesday, March 8 – 8:00 PM @ Dublin City University w/ Julianstown Youth Orchestra

Dining at the Reading Bistro

The Reading Bistro at Centennial Middle School was a great opportunity to expand the students' reading horizons while engaging them in a fun experience!

The school's Media Center was transformed into a Reading Bistro where students participated in a guided "Book Tasting." Tables were set with tablecloths and the bistro's "menu" was a list of books for students to try. Reservations were required; students "tasted" at the bistro during their class time.

What's a bistro without a critic? Students reviewed books, made a wish list for future reads on the menu, and explored ways to find books that piqued their interests. Books were either new to the Media Center or had not been checked out for awhile.

Centennial Discusses District Priorities with Legislators

Senators Michael Kreun and Heather Gustafson and Representative Matt Norris attended a discussion with school board members and administrators on Centennial's educational needs and priorities. Representative Elliott Engen was unable to attend due a commitment at the Capitol.


The District laid out its priorities of increasing the formula, making levy funding equal for all, and supporting unfunded mandates. We appreciate our legislators' willingness to take our concerns back to the Capitol as they work through the legislative session.

Preschool registration for the 2023-2024 school year opens March 1

Centennial Preschool registration for the 2023-2024 school year will open on March 1. The brochure with schedules, locations, and tuition information is now available online at isd12.org/preschool. Questions? Call 763.792.6120 or email earlychildhood@isd12.org.
