Animal Testing
The Dark side of Science
What is Animal testing?
Animal testing is a horrific way to find out about everything from medicine to household cleaners. All of the procedures including the ones labeled "mild" put the animals at serious risk. Just about every experiment to see if they react like humans is performed. A lot of the animals die from the experiments. It is truly sickening that they can call themselves scientists.
The Animals
Both wild animals and domestic animals are used in these experiments. In some countries, they even use chimpanzees.
Experiments
They test everything from cosmetics, to household cleaners, and even food additives.
An organization fighting for change
The Cruelty-Free International is an organization calling for a world-wide ban on animal testing in the cosmetics industry.
What they do
Cruelty-Free International is an organization calling for all countries to ban animal testing for the cosmetics industry. A few countries have listened and banned it, but the entire world has not yet. They have even recruited celebrities to help them in their mission. Some examples are Norman Reedus from The Walking Dead, Mayim Bialik from The Big Bang Theory, and Ricky Gervais. With everyone's help, they can achieve a world-wide ban on animal testing in the cosmetics industry.
