Students Complete Transition to Work Program

The Project Search Transition-to-Work Program is a unique, business-led, one-year employment, student-preparation program that takes place entirely in the workplace.


Again during this school year, Florence 1 Schools partnered with McLeod Regional Medical Center (Florence), Pee Dee AHEC, South Carolina Vocational Rehabilitation Department, and the South Carolina Department of Disabilities and Special Needs to implement the fourth year of the Project Search McLeod Program.


Through this collaboration, the award-winning Project Search Program held its fourth graduation ceremony, celebrating the preparation of the following students (pictured above left to right):

Tyreq Myers, Jiangmei He, Addison Fike , Zyria Williams, and Tariq Steels.

Flying High with Advantage Academy's Aviation Program

National Teacher Associates Making Final Rounds

National Teacher Associates: A Horace Mann Insurance Company, is on the brink of completing check presentations to the 2022-2023 Teachers of the Year and Support Employees of the Year.


To date, the NTA has distributed over $8,000 in recognition to teachers and staff in Florence 1 Schools this year. "It has been a pleasure to recognize these employees, and they have been most appreciative," said NTA's Mendel Grayson Worksite Benefits Director.
