Why the Italians came to America?
- The Italians came to the U.S in the 1880's to 1921 to make money and most Italians returned to Italy. They worked as farmers on land they didn't own, sense there were to many people in Italy they came to the U.S, also they had little money.
Where they settled?
Some Italians went to Wisconsin, but most went to New York, Chicago, Boston and Philadelphia. And California, also Colorado.
How was their first years in America?
Not good, but they died from the boat ride to America or diseases from their farms back in Italy. And did not have money to get food.
Traditions the Italians brought with them?
The Italians shared a celebration with New York about Cristopher Columbus. Now it is a holiday of Cristopher Columbus and Parades.
