College Goal Events in Your State

Get help with your FAFSA and enter to win scholarships!

What is College Goal?

Hello Seniors!

This information was previously mailed to you, but we wanted to make extra sure that you receive it, remember it, and tell your parents about it! Below you'll find links to websites for each state, which contain a list of locations where you and your parents can attend a workshop.

The event is free and at most locations you can register to win a scholarship. Financial aid officers, precollege program staff, and other volunteers will be on hand to answer your questions about the FAFSA and help you get it completed and submitted that day. If you’ve started the process but have questions, you should still attend the event. Although each event lasts for 2-4 hours, you can usually come and go as you please—once you arrive, fill out your FAFSA, and submit it, you can head home.

While the RCMS staff is of course ready and able to assist you and your parents with filling out the FAFSA, we are not experts. Many of the more complicated questions are best answered by professionals, who will be present at the College Goal events. We strongly suggest you attend this FREE event and check off the FAFSA from your long to-do list. If you’re unable to attend an event, we’re here to help—and if we can’t help, we’ll direct you to someone who can (such as your potential college’s financial aid office).

The FAFSA doesn’t have to be complicated if you’re prepared with all the necessary information, and have taken a look at the form before you arrive at the event. Make sure you get your FSA ID before you attend the event, and have it with you when you arrive so you can log in to your FAFSA:

Finally, if you have any questions about the event that aren’t answered in the enclosed information or on the respective states’ event websites, let us know.
