Week of January 4th - January 8th
I can not say thank you enough for how special you all made me feel with all of the Christmas cards & gifts!! Thank you, thank you, THANK YOU!!
Also, the students in my class were able to donate over 50 books to the Children's Hospital in Plano on Saturday, December 19th. I am so proud of each and everyone of my students!!
I can read with fluency and explain what it means.
I can research the arctic moose and record information. I will share my new information with others.
I can learn new vocabulary words and information about arctic animals.
I can use a variety of nonfiction books and online resources to collect information about arctic animals.
I can write a short narrative about what I did over winter break and share my writing with my classmates.
I can write new goals for myself and explain my New Year's Resolution to my classmates.
I can research & write information about the arctic moose.
Word Work & Grammar:
I can read and write new arctic words & explain what they mean. Example: omnivore, carnivore, herbivore, trait, characteristic, habitat, environment, prey, predator, etc.
I can use concrete and pictorial models to determine the sum of a multiple of ten and a one-digit number in problems up to 99
I can collect, sort, and organize data in up to three categories using models/representations such as tally marks or T-charts.
I can draw conclusions and generate and answer questions using information from picture and bar graphs.
Social Studies & Science
I can explain what a system is & give examples of a system.
A system is a set of parts that work together to do a job. Examples: plants, body, scientific investigation, good citizenship. etc.
