CHS9 Staff Bulletin 9-27-19
"Everyone. Everyday. Whatever it takes."
Gorka's Gab
This was the first time I have not seen Mr. Raney in a suit! This was SPECIAL day! Thank you Mr. Anderson for fixing our speakers last week and Mrs. Causey for being our DJ! Everyone seemed to enjoy the music!
With next week starting Homecoming festivities we have moved our faculty meeting to the following Wednesday, October 9th. Please plan accordingly.
Thanks to our Hospitality Committee we will begin CHS9's "You've been BOOed" on October 1st. This will run the entire month. See the instructions below.
I have attached a picture of employee speech rights during bond elections. Please educate yourself. Also, click the link below to educate yourself on more details. Please share this information will all of your voting neighbors and friends!
The links to purchase your "jeans passes" are below. Always remember that you don't have to have a "jeans pass" to wear a college shirt or a motivational shirt. The money collected helps us purchase things for our staff. Next Friday we will have a staff hamburger luncheon to celebrate the end of our HC week and the start of fall!
Have a peaceful weekend!

Counselor's Corner
PTC Reminders:
If a parent expresses the wish to have a PTC please direct them to contact their child’s Counselor. Please do not discuss times or dates as we may have other PTC’s scheduled throughout the week.
Naviance:
In two weeks we will be meeting through the World Geography department to introduce students to Naviance and have them complete the Do What You Are Interest Survey. The purpose of DWYA is to help students explore what pathway they could pursue in High School or College.
Have a wonderful weekend! - Your Counseling Team
SPED/504/ESL/RtI
504/ Testing: 504 Teacher Data Form in google - this needs to be completed for the named student when you receive the form in your e-mail. This indicates the student's annual 504 meeting is scheduled soon. This provides me the feedback to know if their accommodations are working/appropriate. Without your feedback I cannot remove unneeded accommodations or add additional accommodations. Also, please be aware what you submit is shared with the parent at the meeting. If you have questions or need help, please let me know. My goal is for this process to be efficient and effective, but not take too much of your time.
This is what the form looks like in your e-mail can be seen below.
ESL: Please be intentional on knowing your ESL students and incorporating SIOP strategies.
