MESSAGE FROM MRS. ROBERTSON
Happy holiday weekend, Lions! I hope this message finds you relaxing and enjoying time with your family. The first 13 days of school have been a huge success as a result of your collaboration and commitment to the work we do together as a Pride. We couldn't have made this transition from summertime to school time without your help!
We hope that you found Back to School Night, informative and productive. This evening was the first of many that will occur throughout the year, in which you will have to opportunity to experience how your children are engaging in academic and social/emotional learning. If you were unable to attend Back to School Night, please reach out to your child's teacher so that he or she can provide you with the information that was shared.
As we continue throughout the school year it is important to communicate the expectations set for staff to respond to calls, notes, and emails from parents. Staff are expected to respond within 48 hours. Please know that the staff work from 8:30-4:00, Monday through Friday with the exception of days that are designated as "schools closed" on the FCPS calendar. While these are their assigned hours, our staff continue to work countless hours outside of the work day in order to plan and prepare for instruction. Should a staff member respond outside of their work hours it will be at their discretion.
What we have learned in the past several years is that self-care and establishing a work life balance is essential to everyone's wellbeing. Thank you for your continued support in ensuring that staff are able to find this balance!
Yours in education,
Kimberly Robertson
Principal

The FCPS COVID-19 dashboard will be updated daily with the latest information. Positive cases reported to FCPS will reported from each school.
FCPS will continue to utilize several mitigation strategies in an effort to combat the spread of COVID-19.
