We have a total of 5 board members and our current county manager is Mr. Aaron Church. Our county operates departments like animal services, the library, elections, the health department and human resources. At the last census our population was 138,354.

We are located in the Piedmont region of our state so there is a lot of amazing scenery. You can visit a local farm for a farm tour, or some of our beautiful wineries or breweries.

Salisbury is the county seat of Rowan County
The city of Salisbury was founded in 1753 and named after a town in England. The population is 30,304 as of the 2010 census.
City Council
The city council consist of 5 members who all serve at large. The city manager is W. Lane Baily and the City Mayor is Al Heggins.
