Notes from the Principal's Desk
As the school year comes to an end, I would like to thank you for allowing us to support your child(ren) this year. I have seen a lot of growth both academically and socially in some of the students. As we close out the year, please remember to set up your transition meetings, if you have not done so. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact Mrs. Brand @ pbrand@lexrich5.org or Mr. Moses @ smoses@lexrich5.org or (803) 575-5300.
As a reminder, please do not make a U-turn OR pass cars or buses in the car pool line.

Summer School will convene for middle schools: June 12 - 15, June 19 - 22, and June 26 - 27 from 8:30-1:30.
High school summer school opportunities run: June 12 - 15, 19 - 22, 26 - 29, 2023; July 3, 5- 6, 10 - 13 from 8:30-1:30. Graduation will be held July 13th. We previously sent out a potential failure letters during the last week of March. Students still have the opportunity to receive tutoring so that they can receive additional support. Tutoring will end May 26th.
Transition Meetings
As the school year is slowly coming to an end, please be reminded that ALL students who are at AFS, are required to meet with Ms. Kelly Brown before they transition to their home schools. You will need to contact Ms. Simmons, in the Office of Planning and Administration to set up your appointment. Ms. Simmons number is (803) 476-8247. Her email is vsimmons@lexrich5.org. The first round of meetings will take place June 1st-June 8th. The second round of meetings will be held in the latter part of July.
If your child is planning to participate in summer athletics or summer school, please make sure you set up your meeting before they are back on their home school property.
Update from Bus Transportation
As a reminder, all families are asked to remain with their child(ren) until the bus arrives and arrive at the shuttle stop before the scheduled drop off. This will help curve inappropriate behaviors that may take place during the time that the students are not supervised. As a reminder, riding the bus is a privilege. If a student is removed from or misses the bus, it is still your responsibility to bring them to school. It will be coded as an unexcused absence.
Students ARE NOT allowed to ride other shuttle buses. Please make other arrangements for your child to be transported.
Please contact your local shuttle bus location or AFS if you have any questions or concerns.
