Families of students that utilize AAC, here is a free AAC resource library that can be used to encourage AAC use in the home and community.
Supporting Siblings
The Child Mind Institute recently published an article that discusses some tips to help support siblings of students who have special needs. It's worth a read!
Vela Parent Courses
Vela is a non-profit organization that empowers families of children with disabilities. This fall they will be offering the following virtual courses:

- Autism
- Caregiver Wellness
- Transition to Adulthood

DSACT Recreational Programs
Down Syndrome Association of Central Texas (DSACT) is bringing back their recreational programs! They will have Krav Maga, Book Clubs, and Choir. Visit their webpage for more information.
Partner's Resource Network Parent Courses
Partner's Resource Network is another non-profit that empowers families and children with disabilities. Every month they host a variety of free webinars. Some of Septembers events will focus on IEPs, Youth Leadership Training, Section 504, Communication Skills, and Financial Security for Love Ones with Special Needs. Click here to learn more.
TX Parent 2 Parent Support Calls
Texas Parent 2 Parent (TXP2P) 's mission is to provide support, information, and education for families of children and adults with disabilities, chronic and mental health conditions and other health care needs.
