One more week until students enjoy their next break. Congratulations to our fine arts students who have performed winter concerts. They have been beautiful performances!
Our UIL academic teams competed last weekend and earned 2nd place overall. Way to go! You can see their full results below. Join us Sunday to watch the cheerleaders perform their holiday show.
BOOK FAIR IS EXTENDED THROUGH MONDAY! There is still time to shop, and there are many great items to choose from.
Teachers are completing grades for progress reports today and they will be available in HAC by the end of the day on December 10th.
Exciting News! Your fundraising efforts allowed us to make a facilities upgrade in our library. Our library windows were professionally tinted this week allowing us to take down the full wall of mini-blinds that were very aged. This tinting provides beautiful lighting for our readers and provides UV protection for our books, equipment, and new furniture purchased last year. Come by and check it out!
We have also purchased a campus-wide vocabulary program for students and we are shopping for some new flexible seating options for the students. In addition, we have purchased some new equipment to further enhance our safety and security measures. Thanks for supporting us so we can continue to improve our school!
We are throwing in some fun themed days as students end this semester and prepare for the holiday break. The teachers love these days too so I know they will join in!
December 16-Holiday Shirt
December 19-Ugly Sweater Day
There are winter coats in the lost and found. Remind students to take a look before the break.
Thanks for supporting the book fair this week! Keep reading for news and events coming up.
Thank you!

Snack Shack
Students LOVE the snack shack, and I love that our PTO is committed to opening it each week. Our SNACK SHACK is always in need of volunteers. It is a fast and fun way to be involved. Thanks for all the support.
Lunch for Students
Due to a variety of safety concerns related to food allergies and campus safety and security, McKinney ISD does not allow students to utilize food delivery services at school. This includes services such as Uber Eats, Doordash and direct restaurant delivery. However, parents/guardians will still be permitted to drop food off for their children.
This rule does not apply to deliveries organized by McKinney ISD faculty or a teacher serving as a sponsor of a student organization. We appreciate your cooperation in our efforts to create a safe and secure environment for students.
Parents may only deliver food for your own child. We can't accept group deliveries.
Want to Volunteer?
If you would like to volunteer at CMS, please complete the Volunteer Background Check. If you have been approved in the past, you have until September to update your application for the new school year. You must complete a new form each year. Please note that if you do not complete the proper paperwork, you cannot help chaperone field trips or help with the school in any way. We need and want your help, so please fill out the forms now.
