Week of 3-18-19
A Great Green Weekend!
First I would like to thank all of you for hanging with me through my panic last week. I started having symptoms last Monday and by Wednesday was feeling like I did in September of 2014. I had an MRI this weekend there was NO change from last year to this year. Good news again! No sure why I am having symptoms (possibly STRESS??!), but am altering my diet and trying a new supplement that seems to be helping. Thank you all for the kind words of encouragement. Top that with Hamilton on Sunday and a 3rd Spartan win over the Wolverines in basketball and this was a really nice weekend!
This week should conclude our WIDA testing, provided our last two testers return to school. I continue to monitor the absence rate in your classrooms each day, recommending additional spraying and cleaning for those with larger number of students absent. Unfortunately, even with the cleaning, per the State of Michigan Health Department, influenza is spread through contact with droplets from cough/sneeze and on contaminated surfaces. We have one little person sneeze or cough into the air, and the classroom is affected. Hard to prevent that. Continue to encourage hand washing and sneeze/cough into sleeves. Hope this passes soon and yes, there are other UCS school affected with the same issues.
Math Expressions Training on Tuesday this week! The schedule is the same from the last time (cancelled due to weather). I may need to improvise depending on sub coverage. Will keep you posted tomorrow morning if needed to flex the schedule.
Have a great week!
