The Gateway Arch is 632 feet tall and 632 feet in between the legs. It was built as a monument to Thomas Jefferson. The Gateway Arch cost $13,420,168 to build. It was began being built in 1963 and was finished in 1965. It was built in downtown St. Louis, Missouri. The arch is a museum with a full size tipi and life like animal displays. At the the top there are 16 windows on each side and to get there you have to ride a tram. It is almost exactly the direction of north and east only 16 degrees off. It is made of stainless steel and is a triangular shape. It is unique because it is the tallest building in the Northern Hemisphere.
