A Different Start
While we are focusing on the curriculum, The Leader in Me perspective will continue to be intertwined in our days. The focus this week K-5 is on identifying student talents and strengths. What talent and strengths do you see in your child? in yourself? Perhaps take some time this week to talk about those positive attributes around the dinner table or on a car ride.
Each student is expected to be a leader at Lincoln. Each student has unique talents and abilities. For some, their strength may lie in the academic world; for others, they may be strong with social skills; others may have athletic leadership skills; and other may be great with hands-on projects. Lincoln is working to embrace and accept all types of learners and are calling all to lead one another in a positive way.
Please help to foster the growth in academics and social/emotional well-being. Let me know how I can be of service. (I do own several copies of Covey's The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People which drives the Leader in Me perspective. Let me know if you'd like to borrow a copy:)
Yours in partnership,
Mrs. Colleen Whooley Jepson
Principal
