How Parents can help

For homework, the students were asked to pick a song and to bring the lyrics to the song to FPS on February 3rd. Please monitor your child's use of the web to find the lyrics. As we know, some popular songs have inappropriate lyrics. We do not want the students exploring lyric websites without parent supervision. A couple sample lyric sites are listed below.

What the students will be working on this week

During this week's FPS session, each team will change the lyrics of the song to include information from the Underlying Problem that they wrote this past week.

Team #1: Liam, Esther, Monique, Cailyn

UP: Since working from home may cause disconnection from colleagues which may cause adults to feel isolated how might we encourage employees to meet professionals in their field in person so that they can feel connected in Dallas in 2045

Team #2: Myanah, Sophie, Reilly, Keegan, Will

UP: Since having strangers come to your home might cause an increase in home robberies how might we encourage people to meet in public places so that strangers are not entering the employees houses in the year 2045 in Dallas, Texas.

Team #3: Sofia, Maya, Amelia, Tabitha

UP: Since switching jobs frequently might result in employees not building close relationships with their coworkers how might we encourage employees to take time to get to know one another so that the employees have improved workplace satisfaction in Dallas in 2045

Team #4: Caroline, Maggie, Aidan, Isaac

UP: Since fluctuating work hours may result in parents not being able to commit to weekly activities such as coaching their children's teams, how might we encourage employees to provide employers with set blocks of weekly work-free time so that parents can schedule consistent time to be with their children in Dallas, Texas in 2045

Team #5: Christian, Jack, Peter, Sam

Since communicating in writing without facial expressions or tone of voice may cause miscommunication how might we encourage employees to speak to one another in person, on the phone or using Facetime so that communication problems are reduced in Dallas in 2045
