Bryan Collegiate Fútbol Club Homecoming Tournament
On November 6, Bryan Collegiate Fútbol Club held its first annual Homecoming
Soccer Tournament. The single elimination tournament took place in the gym where
seven teams made up of current Varsity members and an eighth team formed by
BCHS Alumni competed in first round, semi-final, and championship matches. The
teams were as follows:
- Sox: Benito Diaz, Diego Ruiz, Luis Tzunun, Nathaniel Saragosa
- Radicals: Angel Torres, Alexis Mesino Campos, Orlando Contreras, Jacob Collier
- Green Apple: Jesus Ortiz, Marian Bello, Karla Luna, Francisco Montanez
- Chubby Alonsos: Warner Collier, Uriel Mendez, Daniel Montanez, Luis Vasquez
- Las Chivas: Saul Almaraz, Edward Alvarado, Yanira Pena, Sierra Ayala (Alumni)
- Expected Toulouse: Jacob Velez, Aron Rameriz, Yamil Pinto, Ulises Mendez
- Los Menores: Michael Amador, Juan Fonseca, Emiliano Tirado, Alexis Vasquez
The evening was filled with fun times, fans cheering for their favorite team, and
fantastic officiating from Shannon “The Cannon” Probe, who was the guest referee.
The Cannon officiated very fair games with calls including “Trying to go outside”
when a team got near the door, as well as “No high school diploma” when Las Chivas
took on Alumni. Teams were also penalized for “Footwork too fancy” and “icing.”
Throughout the competition, The Cannon scored seven of her own points, and she
wasn’t even on a team.
Ironically, Expected Toulouse came out on top! They defeated Chubby Alonsos in the
championship round, and were awarded with gold medals. BCFC would like to thank everyone who attended the Tournament!

PTSO
As the 2015 year comes to a close we want to thank every teacher, parent and student who has worked hard to make this the most successful year the PTSO has ever had. We were able to buy the staff a much needed die cut machine and a set of dies. We are so excited that the staff at BCHS can begin making their own letters for bulletin boards in their classrooms and around the school. This will be a huge savings since they will no longer have to go somewhere and buy letters.
We also have been able to fulfill some items that the staff has turned in on their teacher's wish list.
Parents, if you want to be a part of the PTSO but cannot always make the meetings we have other things you can do to help out. You can contact us at bryancollegiate.pto@gmail.com.
The PTSO minutes can also be seen on the BCHS Website at http://bcollegiate.bryanisd.org/ click on Parents tab and then click on PTSO.
IMPORTANT DATES FOR YOUR CALENDAR:
