Information and updates on Mrs. Crawford's English classes.

The Interview Narrative

The Global Studies English students recently submitted their final Interview Narratives to Google Classroom on 9/19 and 9/22. They have been working diligently on multiple skills to complete these essays, and thank you to those of you who agreed to be interviewed by your student for this assignment. The scores on their various skills will be posted in Active Grade as soon as possible.

Active Grade

In case anyone has not had the chance to view the presentation from Parent Night, we are using a separate gradebook from Skyward in this class called Active Grade. Your students received their log in information in class already, but if they have not given it to you I can send you the information yourself so that you may access their scores and see what skills they have worked on thus far. You can access their accounts at

Students enjoying some W.E.I.R.D. time in class

We Enjoy Independent Reading Daily! Well, maybe not daily, but students were given some free reading time in class this week to read any book of their choice. We will have W.E.I.R.D. time throughout the school year, so encourage your student to find something they love to read and make recommendations for them!

Coming up...

Unit 1: Ad Campaign

Now that we are wrapping up the Interview Narrative, we will be moving on to the more creative Advertising Campaign on a book (summer reading). You can find a link to the summer reading options below, in case some students still need to complete their reading.
