One Bright Bunch!

A Few Notes from Mrs. Scheperle

What an eventful morning! I had a bunch of pirates show up in my classroom! Thank you parents for taking time out of your morning to join in our little fun.

-This Thursday morning will be our first round of the iReady test. It is a district test given to all students. This test will give me some valuable information about what your child knows as a Kindergarten student. Please make sure your child has plenty of rest the night before!

- I will be sending home your child's first set of sight words. These are to be done at home, at your child's level. (Further instructions will be sent with the words.) If you feel your child is not ready, please just hold on to the list and try again in a couple of weeks.

- I sent home our first book order last week. This is a great way to purchase books at a low price and build your child's home library! Some good suggestions are : Chicka, Chicka Boom, Boom and How Do Dinosaurs Stay Friends?. Orders are due this Wed, Sept. 21.

-Our Family Information night is coming up! Save the date, October 6, at 5:30 p.m.. Dr. Linthacum will be here at West to share with us the goals of our district and how we can all become partners in our student's success.

-We are working for an ice-cream float party. How do we get this? Easy! Just come to school each day! The class with the highest daily attendance will earn the party! We can do this!

-Please remember to tell your child to give me any notes, lunch money, etc... that you have put in the folder.

That's it for now!
