Loyal Son of Polonius and Loving Brother of Ophelia
Laertes had been poisoned by his own sword. He was eager to kill Hamlet so that he can avenge his father and Ophelia's death. Laertes was very determined because Hamlet had killed Polonius, believed to be the root of Ophelia's madness and he had some sexual feelings towards Ophelia. He did not realize he was being used by Claudius until he was about to die.
With the influences from Claudius, he believed his actions were justified. Soon, Laertes realizes that Claudius is the villain and apologizes Hamlet for what he had done. Laertes changes his view on Hamlet when he apologizes and forgives Hamlet.
" Fall ten times treble on that cursèd head,
Whose wicked deed thy most ingenious sense
Deprived thee of! "
" Hold off the earth awhile,
Till I have caught her once more in mine arms. "
" Strengthen your patience in our last night’s speech.
We’ll put the matter to the present push "

Hamlet had been tragically killed by Laertes with the poisoned sword that was used during the fencing dual. However, it is Claudius who is to be blamed for Hamlet's death.
Hamlet is a dynamic character.Throughout the play, Hamlet is a thinker that causes him to procrastinate on his actions and being indecisive. Hamlet shifts his state of mind from “mad” to normal. First, he declares his love for Ophelia during her funeral, apologizes to Laertes for what he had done, and becomes more action oriented. Hamlet also becomes more fascinated about death when he visits the gravediggers. This shows that he is more accepting the idea of his own death.
In his final act, Hamlet fulfils his father's promise by killing Claudius.
