ACT Test Prep
The attached video shares information about preparing for the ACT. The ACT Test Prep Program is a free and adaptive plan to meet your own needs for studying and potentially increasing your ACT score. Please watch the short video for more information and how to access this excellent resource.
ACT Registration
The ACT is a standardized test widely used for college admissions, usually taken Junior year. More information about ACT vs SAT and Preparation for the ACT can be found on the EHS Counseling website. The regular registration deadline for the December 12th ACT is November 20th, 2020. Visit www.act.org to register. Test Information Release is available for the December ACT. There is an additional fee to receive a copy of the test questions, a list of the student’s answers, and the answer key along with the writing prompt and scoring guidelines. ALL EHS Juniors are scheduled to take the ACT during the school day on March 30th (no registration required).
SAT and SAT Subject Test Registration
The SAT and SAT Subject Tests are standardized tests used for some college admissions, usually taken Junior year. More information about ACT vs SAT can be found on the EHS Counseling website. The late registration deadline for the December 5th SAT and SAT Subject Tests is November 24th, 2020. Visit www.sat.org to register.
Parents of Seniors with January 1st College Application Deadlines
The deadline for submitting requests for letters of recommendations or school reports to teachers and counselors so they can be completed before our Winter Break is Friday, December 4th. Students should plan accordingly as transcript requests are not processed over winter break.
Free Virtual Mental Well-Being Sessions for Teens and Parents
Allina Health’s teen mental well-being initiative, Change to Chill (CTC), is partnering with Hennepin County Public Health to promote free virtual mental well-being sessions to teens and parents most impacted by COVID-19 throughout Hennepin County. Join us for free mental well-being sessions led by Community Leaders, Healers and Counselors. The 60-minute sessions will cover general topics like identifying stressors and coping with change, grief, and anxiety, with a particular focus on issues impacting teen mental health specific to their community.

EHS College/Military Visits
The admission representatives that visit Eagan high school are the same people that review college applications. EHS College visits will be hosting virtual visits this year.
Students can view scheduled visits by logging into their Naviance Student account. We highly encourage students to register ahead of the meeting on their Naviance Student account. A link for the virtual visit will be available to join the day of the college visit. We ask that students do not miss class for these visits. We also host visits Thursday evenings starting at 4:00 p.m.! College visits are added daily, so students are encouraged to log into Naviance to see updates.

Tuesday, November 17th: Rainy River Community College - 10:00 a.m.
