Astro January Update
Dream big. Reach for the stars. Together we achieve success!
Principal's Message
Dear Families,
I hope you stayed warm and enjoyed the time over break. We are looking forward to what the new year will bring.
On our last day before winter break, we had the Day of Art. It was amazing to see how creative the students were. I hope they shared with you some of their projects. There will be pictures shared on our social media soon.
We had some crazy weather over the break. I can't predict if we will see more of it. If you ever have questions about school closures, you can check news outlets or the district webpage.
There was a lot of sickness going around right before the break. Please check the attached flyers about being too sick for school. If your child meets the criteria for staying home, please keep them home and let the office know by either a phone call, email, or Remind message. If they don't meet the criteria, please send them to school. We have lots of learning to do every day!
Please make sure your child is not bringing toys to school unless there is a special event happening in their classroom. The toys can become a distraction in class and in the morning while they are waiting to go to class. We greatly appreciate your cooperation and support with this.
We now have the ability to use the Remind app and email to share information with the office about absences. Please follow these directions in the link below to get signed up to use Remind to communicate with our school office.
In partnership,
Jennifer Robbins

Food and Hygiene Product Drive by Student Leadership Team
Our student leadership team is accepting donations to support others. We are accepting two different types of things depending on your students' grade level. We ask for K-2nd to donate snacks that kids would enjoy and 3-6th to donate personal hygiene products like soap or laundry detergent, etc. Donations can be turned into bins located in the main building. Our winning grade level group will win a prize! Please bring donated items by the end of January. Thank you for your support!
