Welcome Back Night
This event will take place on Thursday, September 30th!
In order to control the crowd size, we will be breaking down the students into two groups:
6:00PM - 7:00PM: Families with last name ending A-M
7:00PM - 8:00PM: Families with last name ending N-Z
Teachers will be speaking at 6:15PM for the first group and 7:15PM for the second group. The rest of the time you are invited to visit and meet the specialists as well as shop our Book Fair.
Specialists:
Mrs. Fabisch - Wellness (Room 16)
Mrs. Withers - Technology (Computer Lab)
Mr. Clavette - Music (Music Room)
Mrs. Lamonica - Physical Education (Gymnasium)
Mrs. Kushner - Art (Art Room)
Notes for a successful night:
- If you have more than one child and need to make arrangements to attend the other session - reach out to your teacher(s).
- Students are invited, but must stay with their families the whole time. They are your guides.
- Masks must be worn by all visitors at all times.
- Please be respectful of the timeframes as we are trying to control the crowd size.
Routine Covid-19 Consent for Testing
Routine COVID testing will begin the week of September 27. If you have not yet provided consent for your child, please do so. Participation in testing helps to prevent community spread by identifying asymptomatic cases and ensures students are learning in the safest possible environment. Most significantly, students in the program will be able to avoid quarantining and remain in school in most circumstances if identified as a close contact through “Test and Stay.” As a result of our involvement in DESE’s incentive program this summer, we are able to extend the opportunity to the start of the school year. All families who provide consent by September 24 will be entered into a drawing for a $25 Visa Gift Card.
Our current student consent numbers:
Kindergarten: 63% complete
Grade 1: 63% complete
Grade 2: 67% complete
Grade 3: 67% complete
Grade 4: 63% complete
Which grade will hit 100% first? Remember - this is for either YES or NO.
We will be beginning our routine testing next week - students who have a consent on file by Friday will be part of the testing the following week. We update our data regularly.

Frequently Asked Questions:
If a child has been part of an exposure in school and are part of the Test and Stay Program, how long does it take, and do they have to wait for the results before they go back to class?
- The swabbing process itself takes less than 30 seconds, and the test results are received in 15 minutes. Students are brought down to the health office, swabbed, and head back to class. Students are masked and distance is maintained whenever possible. If the test is negative, they continue with their day as usual. If the test is positive, they are asked back to the health office, parents are notified, and the student is picked up. This testing and quarantine response protocol has been shown to be generally equivalent to quarantine for school-based contacts, and a safe alternative to at-home isolation.
Is the swab the long one that goes way up the nose?
- No, we swab the lower portion of the nose only, doing 5 sweeps in each nostril. Kids tolerate it very well because it is minimally invasive.
If you have any further questions, please feel free to contact me at any time!
***Reminder***
If your child requires any medication (prescription or over the counter) at school, please contact me directly to discuss the procedure and a drop off time. Medications cannot be brought into school by students. They must be brought in by adults. This is a safety issue. Also keep in mind that medication orders and parent permissions need to be renewed every school year.

The Bookfair will also be open during the Welcome Back Night.
Studley Star Tickets 🌟
Teachers is each grade have different color tickets, so students can easily see if a teacher in another grade level acknowledges them. They even have the chance to be caught doing the right thing by the Principal or the Assistant Principal. If that heppens - they get a GOLDEN TICKET. These special tickets are worth ten regular tickets!
So, if your child brings home a ticket - ask them what they did to deserve it!
