Roosevelt Weekly Parent Info

Welcome back, Roosevelt Raccoons! I hope everyone enjoyed their time away from school and are ready to finish strong this school year. Here are a few reminders for the week:

SAFETY•SAFETY•SAFETY: This is ALWAYS the #1 priority at Roosevelt. As you are dropping off or picking up students, please work to be extra, extra safe. Please drop students off CURBSIDE and if you are unable to do this at either drop-off or pick-up, please get out of the car and help them make their way safely to where they are going. Morning drop-off time and afternoon pick-up times are crowded. There's really not a way to make this time less busy, as many parents are trying to achieve the same mission at the same time. Please, please, please be extra-cautious and patient, following the safety rules and keeping an extra eye out for students.

Educare: Taste of Spring: The Roosevelt PTO is putting together our annual Educare Silent Auction donation item. This year we are planning on doing a Gift Card Collage!

Educare Foundation is a nonprofit that benefits Mankato Area Public Schools beyond normal operating budgets. All dollars raised stay 100% within Educare and fund Mankato Schools only.

If you are able to donate a gift card to the collage, it will help make our school's donation that much stronger! The school whose donation raises the most money on the auction will receive a $500 grant.

We are asking our awesome parents to donate new gift cards (for anywhere). Gift cards can be delivered to the office anytime before April 26! Please make sure gift cards are marked "Educare" and a dollar amount is noted.

Thank you for your help! Any questions please contact Marissa Geerdes; geerdes920@gmail.com

• School Calendars: The 2018-19 and the 2019-20 school calendars have been set. You can view them here if you wish. Thank you for giving feedback throughout this process.

• Our next late start is Tuesday, April 10. Our last PTO meeting of the year is also that day, starting at 5:30 in the Roosevelt Media Center. Child care is available in the gym.

As always, thank you for supporting our work!
