A Glimpse of this Past Week...
Well, we did it... another school year come and gone. It started out in August with all of us excited for a fresh set of students and new beginnings and ended with a sense of accomplishment for another job well done!
Monday brought an amazing senior breakfast as students enjoyed their travel themed breakfast and then reminisced about their four years at Marian. A big thanks to all the parents and kitchen staff for putting on a delicious breakfast, as well as Kasey Gallagher who was instrumental in working with our seniors to put together a great video so all our seniors would never forget!
Monday night was a wonderful celebration for all of our retirees... Mr. Behymer, Mrs. Reed, and Mr. Rome. We will miss each one of you dearly.
Finals were a little lean as several of our seniors had one or more exams exempted... made our grading a little lighter and our grade meetings a lot quicker! Thanks to every teacher who worked so hard to complete the semester grading and all Staffulty supporting all of our students through this year!
Wednesday's Staff Recognition Luncheon was a nice break in between exams, allowing us to come together and celebrate our colleagues. Congratulations to Mrs. Varga and Mrs. Jelinek for 10 years, and to Mr. T. Lalor and Mrs. Reed for 20 years. We hope we have many more years working with you... well, except for Mrs. Reed of course! :)
Additionally, we are sorry to see some of our team leaving us this year... Mrs. Beattie, Mrs. Mallo, Miss Carbajal, and Mrs. Carlton. We wish you all the best in your future endeavors!
Thursday night we were blessed with the presence of Monsignor Hermes and Father Doyle officiating the Baccalaureate Mass. It was a beautiful message and homily by both. Thanks to all who were able to come.
Tonight is graduation. This is an expectation of all faculty. Please make sure that you are in the Aux Gym no later than 6:15 pm so you can assist in getting all the graduates lined up and ready for the processional. Remember too, that after you recess out at the end, you are to go back into the Aux Gym to assist in distributing the envelopes with the student diplomas and other goodies only after the students hand in their gowns. The students can keep their caps and tassels... and make sure that they take all their "hardware" (medals, pins, and ropes) off first! This should be an amazing night for our seniors and families. Thanks ahead of time for your help!
Looking ahead...

TECHNOLOGY CORNER
A little update on the Faculty Computers...
As of the end of this week, Microsoft has informed us that the faculty computers are still being "built." This means that most likely we will not be receiving them in time for us to distribute them to you and provide you with the initial training this last week of school. It is certainly unfortunate and the administrative team is very disappointed, but we all know that sometimes things are not in our control.
That being said, we will be in contact with you when they are available. At that point, knowing that all of you will be on your summer break, we will most likely be offering several options for you to come in, receive your device, and get that initial training. We want you to have the devices as soon as possible so that you will be able to familiarize yourselves with them over the summer and before the start of the new year.
We want to thank you first for your patience int his process, and second for your openness to trying something a bit out of some of your comfort zones. We are certain that this step into embedding technology into our curriculum will ultimately benefit both the students and you.
