PRINCIPAL'S MESSAGE

Dear Pleasant Run Families:

We celebrate Veterans Day each year as a time to be dedicated to the cause of world peace. We thank all our Veterans for serving and giving to make our country free, peaceful and strong. We are all extremely thankful for your service.

The Sonny Day Community Center, MSD Warren Township's food, toiletries and clothing pantry sponsored by Warren Council PTA, is in need of gently used coats as well as toy donations for their upcoming Sonny Sunday event for families in need Warren Township Schools. If you would like to donate to this very worthy cause, please bring your items to school and leave them at the office by November 15th. Thank you for supporting the Sonny Day Community Center.

A huge thank you to everyone who supported Pleasant Run at our Guadalajara Night & ButterBall Bingo. Our next exciting family night is planned for next Friday, November 16th. Dino's Live is coming to Pleasant Run beginning at 5:30 PM. Additional information can be found below. I hope everyone is available to join us.

As always, I appreciate your support. Please contact me at 532-3803 if you have any further questions.

WINTER RECESS

Well it’s that time of year when we need to remind parents to make sure their children have appropriate clothing for recess. We will be going outside for recess if the temperature and the wind chill are above 20 degrees.

PTA NEWS

Joining the PTA allows you to meet some great people. PTA functions are opportunities to meet other parents and teachers, to build rapport and discuss issues that are on your mind. You can share ideas, concerns, and experiences to make the school year better for everyone.

The mission of the Pleasant Run Elementary PTA is to act in the interest of the children, to encourage understanding and cooperation between parents and teachers, and to promote programs that benefit the success of children’s learning. The Pleasant Run PTA supports education through active participation and advocacy.

Pleasant Run Elementary has a very active and supportive PTA. We sponsor many fun events throughout the school year. We also provide volunteers for many school events as well as provide support for school programs such as Super Reader, Breakfast with Santa and the annual fund raiser. Please join us for a PTA meeting to see what we’re all about.
