New! Congratulations to our Promoting 8th Graders

We celebrated our 8th graders this week with an 8th Grade Fun Day where students chose activities hosted by staff: kickball, free play, arts & craft, yearbook signing, bingo, movies.

Today our 8th graders took part in promotion on the lower field. It was great to cheer them on one last time before they head into high school. We had a professional videographer film the promotion and as soon as the editing is done we will upload to MVMS private YouTube Channel and send parents a link via email.

2021-2022 School Year

NEW! Dress Code for 2021-22

Thank you to the committee of parents, teachers, administrators and students who committed their time throughout the school year to look at best practices in school dress codes. There is a lot of interesting research and opinions on dress codes and just like everything in education, we are reflective and want to apply best practices for the benefit of our students. The new dress code is simpler. It will be posted on the school website for your reference when shopping for school clothes over the summer.

We believe that the responsibility for the dress and grooming of a student rests primarily with the student and their parents/guardians. Our expectation is that parents/guardians will encourage their children to come to school attired in ways that are consistent with the family’s culture and values, as well as safe and comfortable for participation in educational activities.

Attention 8th Graders Heading to Westview

Are you interested in cross country? Incoming Westview HS freshmen: the first day of cross country practices is Monday, June 21. Practices are held Monday through Friday, at Canyonside Community Park at 8am.

The first two weeks after school ends are a no-contact period for our coaches, but current runners will be there to lead. Come out to practice to get a head start in high school sports and make connections with new and current students.
