Introduction - What classifies a rainforest?

Rainforests are the most bio diverse places on Earth. They consist of four multilayered canopies: the understory, the forest floor, the canopy and the emergent layer. Rainforests are characterised by ususally being hot and humid, however there are also termperate rainforests.
