What is Dual Enrollment?

Dual Enrollment is the opportunity for students to earn high school and college credit simultaneously. We offer Dual Enrollment opportunities through Valencia College, University of Florida, University of Central Florida, and Osceola Technical College. Dual Enrollment students also have the opportunity to graduate high school with their Associate's degree if they meet credit requirements.

Fall Application Window: FEBRURARY 1st - MARCH 1st

Test Score Deadline: APRIL 12th, 2022

  • 3.0 unweighted GPA
  • 9th through 12th grades
  • Students can use the PERT, ACT, or SAT exams to qualify:

PERT: R 106, E 103, M 114/123

ACT: R 19, E 17, M 19/21

SAT: R 24, W 25, M 24/26.5


  • Students can take a maximum of 13 credit hours each semester.
  • Students may be eligible to take a summer class for a maximum of 6 credit hours.



Important Valencia DE Information:


When applying to Valencia DE, list Ms. Donovan as DE Representative.


Valencia offers online, mixed mode, and on campus courses. Transportation is not provided by the school district and students are responsible for their own transportation.


Students under the age of 16 will need to be accompanied by a parent for on campus courses.

Requesting Test Scores for Dual Enrollment Placement

You will need to request your test scores to be sent from your College Board student account at www.collegeboard.org, or your ACT student account at www.act.org.

  • 3.8 weighted GPA (core classes only)
  • junior or senior high school student
  • Students can use the ACT or SAT exams to qualify:
SAT: 1330 (Evidence-based Reading & Writing and Math)

ACT: 28 superscored composite

  • Students must take a maximum of 6 credit hours each semester during 11th grade.
  • Students must be enrolled full-time in UCF dual enrollment in 12th grade

You do not need to send your official test scores to UF. Mrs. Donovan will send your test scores on your behalf.

  • Students can take a maximum of 6 credit hours each semester.

What do I do after completing my dual enrollment application for UCF and UF?

Official Transcripts

For dual enrollment purposes, official high school transcripts can be requested from Ms. Donovan, via email at taylor.donovan@osceolaschools.net. In the email, include your name, student ID#, and the college name.

What's Next?

If offered admission to UCF and UF, authorization forms and information about the next steps toward enrollment will follow. Please check your email often for details so that you do not miss deadlines. Also, check your spam email to avoid missing important emails about your next steps.
