November Newsletter
We enjoyed having families & friends in our school for our RET Annual Fall Festival. Thank you to our PVO for working hard to make sure this event was successful. We also want to thank the girls from BZB & students from DMS who volunteered.
It is important to make sure that students are completing the work they are asked to do. One of the things students are being asked to do is their IXL. This program is great to help students review skills and prepare for state testing. Please encourage students to complete these when they are assigned to them. Students do have time in class to complete these assignments. The IXL assignments can be located on the students Google Classroom. If you need help locating these assignments please contact the students homeroom teacher.
At the beginning of the year we took an IXL Snapshot Diagnostic to see where students are. Students will be asked to complete another Snapshot Diagnostic before Christmas break. We will continuously monitor this throughout the year. This snapshot helps our teachers and instructional team take a deeper, more specific look into your child's skill level. We are finding that the data from the IXL Diagnostic Snapshot correlates very closely to that of the ACAP data.
Please remember to check students grades on PowerSchool. It is important to stay on top of where students are academically. If you have any questions about students grades please email their teachers.
If a student is absent for any reason please send in an excuse. It is the students' responsibility to get with their teacher on what they missed and how they can make it up. Students will have 3 days after an excused absence to complete make up work.
