EP's Lise Marlowe to Be Honored for Holocaust Education Efforts
Philadelphia's Holocaust Awareness Museum and Education Center will honor Elkins Park sixth grade teacher Lise Marlowe for her decades of Holocaust education at the Cheltenham School District at its 57th annual silent auction and dinner on Saturday, Nov. 17, 2018 at Philmont Country Club. A national award winning teacher, Marlowe attributes her dedication to teaching Holocaust history to her own great grandmother's instrumental role in resisting the Nazi's attempts to deport the entire Jewish population of Denmark.

Fall Sports Seasons Kick Off
The Cheltenham High School campus has been abuzz for two weeks with student-athletes attending their sports camps in preparation for the fall season. See below for the teams' home openers and be sure to come root on the Panthers.
- In Coach Ryan Nase's second season, the Cheltenham Gridders kickoff their 2018 season at home on Friday, Aug. 24 at 7 p.m. versus Council Rock South Hawks and Friday, Aug. 31 versus Bishop McDevitt.
- Boys and Girls Cross Country teams start their home seasons on Wednesday, Sept. 12 with tri-meets versus Upper Dublin and Hatboro-Horsham.
- Field hockey opens its home slate on Wednesday, Sept. 5 versus Upper Moreland.
- Girls soccer starts its home season with games against Upper Dublin and Plymouth Whitemarsh on September 7 and 12, respectively, while the boys open their home season with matches versus Downingtown East and Archbishop Ryan on August 21 and 24, respectively.
- The girls tennis team opens its home slate on Thursday, Aug. 23, taking on Abington.
- The volleyball team opens its home season against Quakertown on Tuesday, Sept. 4.

Glenside Elementary Hosts Second Annual Back to School Playground Party
InfoSnap Update
On Wednesday, families should have received an email containing a link to a unique "snapcode" enabling parents and guardians to update their child(ren)'s contact information through InfoSnap. If you have not received your email, please complete this form and your snapcode email will be processed as soon as possible.

Bus Transportation Update
The 2018-19 school bus stop assignment letters will be mailed on Monday, Aug. 20, 2018. Your child’s bus stop assignment, important notices and the school bus rules and regulations are contained in the packet. Additionally, bussing information will be available on the District’s website Monday, Aug. 20, 2018.
If your child was not registered to attend CSD by Thursday, Aug. 16, 2018, your child has not yet been assigned to a route. The transportation department will work diligently to assign your child’s bus route as quickly as possible; however, the process takes up to five business days after registration notification is received. Once your child has been assigned to a bus route, you will be notified by your child’s school.

Final Week of Summer Registration for Grades K - 12
Summer registration for Cheltenham residents for kindergarten through 12th grade runs through Thursday, Aug. 23. To register your child for school, visit the student registration portal and click “New Student 18-19” to create an account, submit an application and view the required enrollment documents.

Cheltenham Intramural Soccer Registration
Boys and girls from 4- through 18-years-old are welcome to join the Cheltenham Sports intramural soccer program, a recreational program allowing kids to learn soccer skills and providing an opportunity to play. Previous soccer experience is not required! Games are on Saturdays at fields in Cheltenham and most age groups will have optional weeknight practices. Register online at CheltenhamSports.org. Up Your Game with ProBound Hoops Training
ProBound Training is a full-service basketball training organization based in Cheltenham township. The organization was founded by Cheltenham Lady Panther alumna and state champion Misha Horsey. ProBound Training offers private and group classes for boys and girls from ages 8-14 and a variety of skill levels.
The ProBound Hoops youth skill development program is for athletes interested in developing their game. We teach the proper techniques imperative to enhancing your game. Sessions include 10-minute ball handling and 50-minutes of complete skill development. All student-athletes who participate in our sessions will learn the proper techniques of ball handling, passing, shooting, defense, rebounding, offensive development and moves.
