This museum was started in 1764. It has over 3 million items in it. There are six building including the Winter Palace that was once home to emperors.

The Kremlin is home to the national government. It includes 4 cathedrals and several museums. The museums are filled with national treasures including a 190-karat diamond given to Catherine the Great.
