Super Star News Update
May 23 - May 27
“For what it’s worth: it’s never too late or, in my case, too early to be whoever you want to be. There’s no time limit, stop whenever you want. You can change or stay the same, there are no rules to this thing. We can make the best or the worst of it. I hope you make the best of it. And I hope you see things that startle you. I hope you feel things you never felt before. I hope you meet people with a different point of view. I hope you live a life you’re proud of. If you find that you’re not, I hope you have the courage to start all over again.” ― Eric Roth, The Curious Case of Benjamin Button Screenplay

Kuddos to Julie, Julie, Yodit, Katie, Maria, Melina, Christopher, and Sandy for coordinating and conducting a successful and strong Austin trip!
Way to Go, Ms. Everwine: Our parent survey results indicate a distinct growth in Fine Arts for our campus, and we had NINE boys and girls accepted to the 5th Grade Fine Arts Academy! This says great things about our own Ms. Everwine, as well as the teachers and parents who have cultivated interests and creativity in our students through the years.
Keep up the Great Work!
Finish STRONG!

- Courage Essays Thank you for challenging your students to write critically throughout the year, across content areas and grade levels. It has been great to read the essays that have been turned in this week to tell about how they were courageous this year!
- All-STAR Night: This will be our last campus-wide community event this year! We are excited to host our 2nd Grade Musical and invite all of our parents to come walk our halls, visit their classrooms, and see the great products our students have recently created. Please post student work as we prepare to welcome our parents next Thursday. All hands on deck!
- Volunteer of the YEAR: Also at All-STAR Night, we will be recognizing our Volunteer of the Year. As a grade level, please use the attached nomination form to nominate a volunteer. Please complete and return the form to Letitia by Tuesday afternoon, to help us to select the individual who has truly impacted the campus in a positive way. Thank you!
- Summer Check-List: It's never too early to begin ensuring records in cum folders and cleaning your rooms for summer! Please remember that summer school will be on campus, and all personal items should be safely locked away or taken home. We will talk more about closing up procedures at Staff Meeting Monday.
- Master Schedule Review: Thank you for providing input and feedback! A final schedule will be decided and shared the last week of school.
- Library Books DUE!! Jan Hodge will be here 5/25 and 6/1. Thank you for supporting our library in Rosa's absence by ensuring our books are returned and ready to continue supporting student learning and literacy.
